Marnee Banks, Executive Director

Marnee Banks began working as Executive Director for the Greater Montana Foundation in 2007. As a college student with no Executive Director experience, the task seemed daunting at first, but Marnee believed in the mission of Ed Craney and knew the job would be rewarding.

Marnee graduated from the University of Montana in December 2009 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Chinese. She is now working as a reporter for Montana's News Station. She has spent time in China, studying Mandarin, and has a passion for Asian Culture. When Marnee isn’t attending classes and working she loves to spend time backpacking, hiking and fishing.

As a Montana native, she loves working as a reporter here in the Big Sky Country. She hopes that by establishing herself in her home state, she will fulfill Ed Craney’s dream of having Montana Broadcasters “remain in this great State and not be drawn to metropolitan centers of broadcasting…and make technical improvements in equipment in such manner they themselves will be proud to be a part of the Montana Communications System.”
